Owner Maria talks about the creation of Ethnic Loft
I was 6-1/2 years old when I went from living in the rainforest of the Philippines to a picturesque, but very cold winter in Alaska. Since that time, I traveled within the U.S. and spent the majority of my life in the great state of Texas. However, more recent opportunities have allowed me to travel and to explore other parts of the world with my family.
My first piece of Chinese furniture was bought for our home about five years ago as a result of our travels. Acquiring this piece ignited a passion for collecting additional international pieces. Through this, the idea of Ethnic Loft was born.
Ethnic Loft allows me to share with you a piece of a country’s culture, history, and people in the form of art and home furnishings. As a result, I have been able to reflect on my positive experiences as well as offer to others what I have learned and continue to learn.
